this might be a long entry.

part (i) of moving into the dorms today
got most of the clothes, my pillows and blankey and trusty bolster,
and some random stuff i flung into my suitcase

so much more to pack though
zzzz.

but moving part (i) really wasn't all peaches and cream

i was on the top floor (which would actually be good under normal condominium type circumstances but its certainly not) which means that if the fire alarm rings (which both my sis and bro-inlaw swear it will at least 5 to 6 times thru my short 5month stint because i am in college and hey, thats what college boys do. they activate the fire alarms and wake the shit outta you so you can run down 6 floors, look really bad in mismatched jammies, see the fire trucks arrive and then be comforted that it was a false alarm. lovely.)

i'm getting ahead of myself here.

so my room was the one riiiiiiggghhht at the end, room 619.
and no, the mysterious room mate was still very m.i.a

but we walked in and it was like an oven in there.
she likes her things hot. and she clearly left the heater on.
her stuff was all. over. the. place.
on both the dressers, both the desks, both beds, and in both the closets.
also,
three bob marley blankets hung around the room, photos of her and her boyfriend in every nook and cranny.

oh. and she's a smoker.
refer to: smoke detector hanging from a single wire from the ceiling.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGH.

so my mom got whipped into a frenzy and demonstrated her already perfected singaporean art of complaining.

so after lunch,
headed back,
and got a new room!

MUCH nearer the elevators, and for the five minutes that i talked to her?
a pretty nice room-mate called jenn.

tomorrow marks the day where i officially move into the dorm.
