went through an unnecessary bout of nerves at LAX
woman at SQ counter frazzles the shit out of me by telling me i'm on standby (!!) leaving me to
- start having tears well up in my eyes
- call my mother thinking that you know, she could do something. being all.. motherly and all. ....right.
- eventually wait for my name to be announced if someone didn't show up whilst every other ticketed passenger boarded the plane
alas, no luck there.
everyone turned up for that flight = no extra seats and 14 people on standby
ended up stranded in LAX for 4 hours with my sis and brother in law
but eventually got on the other flight
i've never. been. so. happy to see a boarding pass.
