with arms outstretched

Went back to L.A. before coming home and it was a total blast..
3 days of pretty much non-stop laughter induced stomachaches.

Breakfast!

Breakfast was all kinds of awesome.. Ah, just gotta love me some massive portion sizes. The short wait was actually super enjoyable because I fell in love. (LIKE, IN A MATERNAL WAY. NOT IN A CREEPY WAY, YOU PERVS.)

Mikey ♥
I CANNOT SAY "AWWWW" LOUD ENOUGH

...Though my adoration towards him was misconstrued as pedophilia and the Kuduses would not get off my back for it. The entire time. (Yes, I'm talking about you Syazahn.)

The day started off and ended with long lines for food.. Both well worth the wait. Dinner was BBQ in K-town where we were too hungry to care that the burning charcoal was equivalent to us like, smoking a zillion cigarettes. We just chowed down like the hungry hippos that we were and totally threw all caution to the wind.

(Then we had pinkberry.)

Brekfast at from Elysee bakery

A couple of early morning croissants/ fruit tarts/ iced mochas and roadside conversations with the 'homeless' (well, only Daryl) later, we hit the road for 2 solid hours with Stephy at the helm. Headed to the Cabazon outlets in the freezing cold which led to us borrowing fleece/ thermalwear from Sab/ Syazahn's shopping bags. I call it.. 80's chic.. with 'chic' being used very lightly here.

Dinner at Chabuya

Ramen for dinner and Sab's classic "Oh we call him that because he looks like a Boris."
WTF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

(Then we had pinkberry again.)

An early morning in St Gabriel.

Dimsum Delight in Rosemead.

I think I could live, breathe and eat dimsum every day until the end of time.. Or at least for a month. We had fawesome dimsum at sea harbor for lunch and the hour-long wait was again, worth it. Those horrible little addictive buns with the salted egg yolks in them are TO. DIE. FOR. I'm salivating all over my keyboard as we speak.

More touristy bits -- Rodeo where there were star sightings of Kim Catrall shooting for SATC and Marcia Cross.. er.. Crossing the road. & Melrose for a bit.. As always, being with the Kudus Klan was an absolute joy. A constant flow of good food and almost ODing on pinkberry.

Well it was was to LAX and then SQ37 for 17 hours and voila.
Before I knew it, I was home, sweating, and having kaya toast at Kiliney with my parents at 7a.m.
