xmas 2007: hello, kismis!

So our annual end-of-year/ xmas AA3 gathering was at HY's (as usual) this year. Among a whole lot of other food, we had turkey, fried noodles, applesauce, awfully chocolate cake, and mr. chef extraordinaire himself's (wassup shaun) delectable cheesecake.
I hate you for making it and I hate me for eating so much of it.

It was a very comfortable little affair.. with AA3 and the extended AA3 bunch.
We braved the insane traffic in town (thanks, clar-gary!) , made mad dashes for cranberry jelly in holland v. with clarbar, frightened ourselves with cass' sudden attack of the pukeys, and then had a little snippet of 6th ave in between.

Thennn we witnessed some indian poker madness,

HY, just starting to tune in to the game: "listen leslie (he had a 2).. TRUST ME. CHANGE YOUR CARD. I WILL NOT LIE TO YOU TAY ."
L: "ARE YOU SURE?!"
HY: "YES DO IT. REALLY."
L: *changes*
L: *BLOOD CURDLING SCREAM* "HY WE'RE PLAYING BIGGEST CARD DRINKS!!!!!!"
HY: ".......Oh."

mahjong mania,

TURTS, on just about every game: "I HAVE A GOOOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS!!"

CHEF KOK: *excitedly* "DO YOU ALL KNOW LEONA LEWIS??" (silence all round) "Yah fine I listen to pop music okay?" *starts singing* "PICTURES OF YOUUU.. PICTURES OF MEEEE...."

And of course my favorite part of meeting up with everyone -- Our quintessential gab sessions. Oh I know we're older, we're supposed to be wiser, but it sure seems like none of us have really grown up. Annnd I'm thankful.

Fun times all round.. But I never expected any less
