They say how you spend new year's eve symbolizes how you're going to spend the rest of the year -
In that case.. 2008 is going to be all sorts of wonderful.
With any luck, my year will be filled with the same fantastic foolery that NYE was made of:
Family, friends, popiah and durian cake and Thai electropop music. Annd cheesy ABBA karaoke songs paired with equally corny disco moves, naps on velvet upholstered sofas, comfortable chit chat and early morning dimsum.
And flash photography gone wild.
2007 had it's ups and boy did it have some particularly downey downs.. But looking back at the past 12 months I think I've grown up - even if it's just a smidgen. I hope I've become a little more appreciative because even with all my (occasional) post-teenage angst & dreary woe-is-me attitude, I know i'm blessed and I don't thank the powers that be enough for all that i've been given.
Because the people in/of my life are nothing short of incredible. I cry buckets with them, I laugh like hell with them, and I am my truest, most deranged, insane self with them.
- For Family -- People I think I've forgotten over the years but realized over this holiday season how important they really are. There ain't nothin' like some good ol' familia lovin'.
(And the over-usage of apostrophes.)
- For Old Friends -- sam, dith, huis, mike, vern, pau, j, wyn, marnkie, clar, domi, angel, jane, tingting, yvonne, helen, sah.
- And for New(ish) ones -- kaew, cole, drake, bao, shan, jerry h.
