Sometimes it's easier to steel up, put your brave face on and just be a caricature of yourself. A different version of you that can deal with anything, that can handle any situation, that doesn't cry (way, way) too much. Maybe caricature you can kill off real you and you'll be strong and immune to all blows forever and ever more amen.
