a variety of whimsical verse

a very long entry lies in my drafts because i couldn't finish writing comprehensively about my weekend

so i'll just make this short
louise, shirley, karwin, and aaron came to visit helen (and us)
they drove up from irvine on thursday night

we:
- visited the m&m's factory
- took a trillion photos
- sang karaoke (with felix and daniel too)
- drank bubble tea
- i've never heard so much cantonese in my life
- but it's kwiite shiok
- played card cames (a whole buncha them)
- and played jenga too! haha
- visited wynn
- and venetian
- went to the outlet mall
- ate at an incredible japanese buffet (ben, some korean and some other guy came too)

my weekend in a nutshell.
nonstop action from friday afternoon to saturday afternoon

anyway.
we wanted to drive down to irvine this weekend
we seriously don't even care that it's finals week next week
but i realised i totally can't go
cos my mom's flying up on friday, and my sisters coming up this weekend
..and its mother's day
zzzz.
so wrong to not spend mother's day with your mother.

but like apparently karwin's got his basketball match
and irvine too! (yearh. a guy called irvine living in irvine. i mean, what was he thinking.)

tingting and i have been eagerly learning cantonese from helen
haha we sat the caf for like.. three and a half hours
just practicing our cantonese and writing random stuff on napkins, practising profusely, trying to commit them to memory

i really wonder why we do the things we do
