foodscapades

Other than the days (and nights) we've camped in front of the tv watching
The days have left me full and they've been filling and yup.. Fulfilling indeedy.
Foodhunters on Foodscapades!

Over the past week we have,

- Endured our first 45 minute wait (after queueing for 15 minutes) at a hawker centre in the west just for a taste of Botak Jones for dinner.

Verdict:
Even after the 20 minute drive home (due to the severe lack of seating and the rain), the fries were crispy, seasoned well and the burger was succulent and fantastic. Yeah*

- Long car rides to the east for:

Verdict:
Worth a try, but there wasn't really a cohesive taste as such. Extremely filling though. Feeds 2 people comfortably.

Yup, it's one heck of a pau.
It's about 4 times the size of a normal pau and has a whole hard boiled egg (among other things) in it's gigantic self.

- Gallavanting around Ann Siang in search of:

Amoy Food Centre... for desserts.
Zhenjie was closed, but we did manage to get orhnee from sgkueh (shame about not getting to try the ondeh ondeh though)

Verdict:
Not half bad, but got a bit jelat after a while.

- Belated anniversary dinner at PS Cafe

Verdict:
Not shabby, albeit overrated.

Weekend searches for wham! burger led to naught,
And so we decided on Maxwell for the long revered Tian tian chicken rice

Verdict:
The 20 minute queue was worth it.

Weekday searches for the elusive wham! finally came to something

Verdict:
Much ado about nothing much.

Nutella cupcakes and unnecessary sushi splurges

Verdict:
WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I MAKE FOR YOU LAH

The essential breakfast!

Verdict:
LIKE, THE BA CHOR MEE AT THOMSON IS UNBEATABLE.
